I have known Ashley for over 10 years, I have watched her grow from a college athlete to a professional fitness competitor. This young professional is the epitome of a goal achiever. Over the past 4-5 years I have been struggling with my weight, my weight will always fluctuate between 135 being my smallest and 180 being my heaviest prior to my baby. Before my body has undergone the process of pregnancy, I was able to loose weight easily through fad diets, but still wasn't able to accomplish the challenge of toning and maintaining a steady weight. Before I was pregnant I was able to get back down to 145 lbs with a reasonable diet and cardio. When I became pregnant in summer 2014 I was still able to manage my weight, until about my 8th and 9th month I gained the most weight from water weight, poor diet, and decrease in exercise ( part of the reason for lack of physical activity was bed rest). During my pregnancy I gained 90 lbs weighed my heaviest at 235 lbs. I thought this weight will magically disappear after I Gave birth, after giving birth I only lost about 15 pounds. As a new mom I faced many challenges between accepting the responsibility of being responsible for another being, realization that nothing will ever be the same, and the changes my body went through in such a short period of time. Everyone knows life never goes as plan, as a result from my medical issues from my pregnancy I had to get a c-section ( a slow, and painful recovery). With the challenge as a first time mom , I also had to adjust to my new found body. Everyone says give it a few months my body will slowly go back to normal. I discovered that everyone body isn't the same, in addition to poor health choices, my family has bad genes, needless to say i didn't "Bounce Back". I found i gained a few more pounds after having the baby because I still continued to make poor health choices ( i believe a portion of this was depression). After continuous disappointment of my physical appearance I decided to try and obtain my pre-baby body. I first started this journey with going back to what i knew fad diets, this time around I managed to drop a few pounds but not enough for my satisfaction. At this point i realized i needed help. I decided to reach out to Ashley as sister and more importantly a friend that I trust. From our first consult as a client she listened to my needs and goals. With her experience in which she learned from her own weight control she was able to provided me with a meal plan, and rigorous workout. The things I appreciate with Ashley the most is her constant motivation and presence throughout my fitness journey. I have learned so much about health and fitness through our process together, the thing i appreciate the most is her weight lifting technique, explaining the different muscle groups, and proper eating habits. Since I started I have lost 72 lbs , gained muscle strength, and toned my entire body. I also went from a size 18 to a comfortable 10, a XL to M/L. As of today I am still working with Ashley to obtain my goals, I can say we are more than half way there. With her as an inspiration and her competitiveness I am sure I will obtain my six pack back. I truly recommend her for all of your fitness goals !!!!!!!! Thank You Rock out Fitness LLC for all you have done for me, I pray god will continue to allow you to change people lives. Your company has certainly had a tremendous impact on my life, you have helped me develop my mind set in a positive way, and i have changed from a person who thinks I can to I know I can!!!!!!!!
I always been overweight majority of my life. The struggle to lose weight has been a constant battle for me. I try to live a healthier lifestyle time and time again, but I always either gave up, made excuses, or basically didn't care. One day I woke up looked at myself in the mirror and I said "your fat is f%#$ that is not cute." Excuse my language but I had to to be honest ;who am I lying to? When your stomach looks like you four months pregnant and your not even pregnant that's a problem. When your clothes don't fit and your busting out the seams that's a problem. Now before my words get twisted I love myself so much and my self esteem never been an issue. It was time for a change for the better. I was ready. I contact Ashley Roberson and desperately ask her to help me. I could not begin my journey without structure of a professional. I damn sure do not know how to workout, meal plan or where to start. When I reach out she makes you feels comfortable while talking with her. She is attentive, informative, and patient. She answered all my questions and concerns. Ashley motivated me to start ASAP she is body goals lol. When I started my weigh loss journey I weight 245 lbs. In the beginning it was so rough. I'm not even going to lie I wanted to give up numerous times. Ashley never once gave up on me. I did everything from complained, cried, get upset you named I tried it. Ashley made sure every time I think I can't do it she was there to get me back on track. I continue to push through all the training she provided for me even when I felt working out is to hard. When I began my weight loss journey I was 245 lbs. Fast forward a year later I now weigh 165 lbs. Can you believe that? I still can't believe I made it to my goal with all the help from Ashley. Ashley is the great at what she does. I can't never thank her enough. Having Ashley as my trainer was the best decision I ever made to help me achieve my goal. I am living a healthier lifestyle all because of her. Ashley taught me what to eat, how to prepare my food, strength training, and mostly importantly Form! Why I highlighted Form is because if you not know what you doing while working out that is one of the quickest ways to injury yourself and you don't want that.I am proof that with Ashley she will get results . Trust me
As I celebrate my 1 year anniversary with my trainer Ashley, I just wanted to highlight how much I’ve changed in the past year...the pic on the left was taken June 17, 2017 and the one on the right was June 15, 2018. Hard work and dedication helped me to transform into a better person mentally and physically and I can’t thank Ashley enough for helping me get back to loving and taking care of myself the way I should! Today is our anniversary girl #BestTrainerIEverHad #TransformationThursday #FitChicksRock #BlackGirlsWorkOut
When I made the decision to start my fitness journey, it was in January 2021. It was over a year since I acquired my first undergraduate degree in psychology; and I achieved this accomplishment while playing five seasons of college football. Since then, I’ve made some poor habits -- which included binge-eating, drinking, and staying up late watching TV. In addition, the 2020 pandemic had an impact on my health, my work, and with my studies as a student physical therapy assistant. My weight then was 320 pounds.
At that point, I said to myself “enough is enough” as I surfed through Instagram -- looking for an online personal trainer. When I first joined with Ashley, my thought process was to make an investment on my health and lifestyle long-term. My first program was the 30-Day Ab Challenge on February 2021. The first two weeks was a literal struggle. I had to learn how to do meal prep for the first time. My determination was starting to slip with consistently working out while studying for my classes. Furthermore, I was tossing out snacks in the pantry to curb my sweet cravings. I remember after day 5 of the Ab Challenge, I was in literal tears because I ran out of steam before I could finish the workout.
I wanted to quit so bad, but I remembered what my mom said to me, “it is a marathon, not a sprint.” Another thing I did that same night was that I watched a YouTube video by Ashley Roberson. In the ‘Tip of the Week’ video, Ashley states “regardless of the results, regardless of the outcome, work towards your goals… get back in that gym, work on those weak points and come back undeniable.” That video set off an alarm in my head to get right with my workouts, double-down on my meal prep, and prioritize my time. I haven’t told Ashley this, but that video inspired me to give my best in every workout. I’ve watched this video several times over. It was like she was talking directly to me.
When I finished the Ab Challenge in March 2021, I lost 30 pounds. Intuitively, I made the decision to stay with Ashley and be a part of the Rock Out Squad. As of July 2023, I weigh in at 200 pounds. I feel more confident and appreciative of who I am both inside and outside. I have a sense of purpose about getting up and going to the gym. I can wear 30-inch jeans and wear large-size T-shirts. And my fitness journey has inspired my friends, my family, and other gym-goers.
I would like to thank Ashley Roberson. Even though I have never met her in person (I live in Nashville, Tennessee), she was the best choice as my personal trainer. She’s very understanding and easy to talk to. She’s tough and will get on your tail if needed to. Most of all, Ashley is the type of trainer that cheers you on regardless who you are and what your personal goals are (i.e. sports competition, wedding day, lifestyle change, etc.). If I had to do it all again, I would still choose Rock Out Fitness.
